No5 owner/ new member
« on: August 29, 2018, 06:26:07 PM »
Hi all recently won no5 ARN 154231 and went through all the NSW rego requirements.
Loving the little nugget of a trailer. I own a MWB cruiser so this will give me the room to explore this beautiful country with my family and  a tough as nails trailer in tow.
Will probably just lurk on her reading all the different info but thank you for a great place to research.

Hi cracka, they are very good value for the money at the moment -a gift. Be aware there are no shockies and they do bounce around a lot. There are quite a few photos from incidents over the years where the trailer goes "greasey side up" on track bumps taken too quickly. cheers

Thanks Carzee, yes it was cheaper this round than when I was looking earlier in the year.
I have seen pictures of shock conversions, this may be something I look at down the track, I tend to take it pretty easy in the old cruiser these days but I’m sure things can happen !
I want to add a water tank well 2 actually, underneath so hoping that helps with the center of gravity a bit to.
Thanks for the advice.

Is there an online listing of what different ARNs got up to in their careers ?

Not one online but I have a offline one for Vietnam era, and your ARN isn't in files I have seen at the AWM. Are there any notes in the logbook or markings/stencils on the trailer?

LR is Loan Register, a list of pooled vehicle assets, available to use when necessary.

Thanks again mate, so that’s probably why it’s in decent condition if it hasn’t been used lots.
Great info and cool to know a little bit of it’s history.
Thanks
