Late this afternoon news was posted on Facebook that Stephen Stansfield had passed away after a long illness.

I had a call with him recently after the 70th Celebration in Cooma and he had returned to his home and begun catching up on telephone messages. Stephen was very interested in details of the Land Rovers and people who attended and he said he really missed out not be able to attend. Stephen also spoke about his efforts to have Norma Jean and his very complete medic gear collection preserved by a museum.

This news is very saddening and my condolences to his close friends and family.

RIP.

Stephen was REMLR member number 1.

We have a email quote for a flower arrangement at the memorial service. I sent a photoshop of the arrangement I thought well suited to Stephen (see attached file below) and the local florist is saying they can do it and it will be $150.
