MFK Stone guard
« on: May 08, 2018, 01:14:18 PM »
Have been doing a few Km with the MFK and the stone chips from un sealed roads have been taking their toll.  So made up a "bra" for 42 833 (AKA "Oliver") out of some marine carpet sandwiched between Cam canvas double lined.  This works a treat and takes only a minute to install and remove.  One side for everyday use and it can be reversed showing the rear to the front which remains in a clean and undamaged condition for the times when proper and clean presentations are called for.     ;D

Thanks Ross - I wish it was in my backyard - its at work and getting filled up too much!  Oh for a bigger shed - as Scott said, 'design a shed big enough to hold everything you have and then build a shed twice that size'.   Seriously though - I might make up another one of these 'bras' for the No5 trailer for a trial - will save repainting and rust from the stone chips.
