Replacing Window Felt

I have to replace the felt on the LHS sliding window of my Perentie, I have the part does anyone have any hints on making the Job easier?

i just bought come really thin black carpet like fabric from textile traders 2 years ago, it is still working fine and cost about $1, as I only wanted 1cm off the roll, I have enough left over for another 1 or 2 replacements so even if it proves to not last as well as the proper stuff it is much cheaper.  It is easy to install just fold it in half and push it in with a screwdriver. then slide the glass over it and it will bend to the right shape.  I never used glue as I just put it in temporarily 2 years ago.

Hi Hellfire, I replaced my felt with the kit at GArrison Outfitters. Expensive but does the job perfectly and very well designed.

You have to remove and then dismantle the door top to remove the glass. There are pozidrive screws inside the channel that need to be removed and several rivets that have to be drilled out, including the 4 that hold the window lock lever in place.
When I did mine I found a couple of YouTube videos on it that made things a lot clearer. I did both my doors with a rubber channel kit from KLR. That was a couple of years ago and they haven't rattled since.
