Hi All,
Sorry if this is in the wrong area, but it made the most sense to put it here to me.
I'm looking at soundproofing the RFSV, I had a rollover in it about 12 months ago now and have finally got the engine back to put back in. (Long story short, rebuild required because I left the engine running too long on its side.)
I only thought about it last night, but given that the engine is out at the moment I figured now would be the best time to look at soundproofing.
What products have people used? I've seen a number with Dynamat and Sound Deadener (Car Builders)
Is there much difference in the quality of the products?
Car Builders seem to have a single cab pack that looks like it might be almost enough for what I need. so I'm leaning that way at the moment.
The other question is with the engine out is it worth looking at a paint on deadener in the engine bay/under the cabin? Has anyone done this before with much success? What is required to do this, can I just give it a clean with soap and water and then paint over, or do I need to sand back the paint?
Cheers,
Tripps
