A couple more photos. The first unusual thing about this gunbuggy is it's engraved ID plate. The original is behind it. Made more unusual by the fact that 112-713 is painted on the front and back of the vehicle.
And a photo of the tool holders.

A closer shot of the tub area and the front blackout light moved to the bumper.

I have identified 3 of the 4 8/9 RAR gunbuggys from the late 70s/early 80s. They are ARNs 112-259, 112-371 and 112-376. Not confirmation or pics of mine yet.

Edit 24/11/17: They possibly had 6 gunbuggys. Also in 1981 they had 112-246. This vehicle was damaged in a rollover that same year. Both occupants injured. Vehicle was SA5. Support coy, anti armour, vehicle #5.

This photo, which earlier on remlr was possibly credited as being 112-731 can now be dismissed as mine has no holes in the tub where a MG mount may have been bolted.

Looks good Shorty. Also nice to see it has some of its unique jewellery ..... tool holders and gun mount.

Mine is missing these items.

I found out about the 2 of them just before they were sold unfortunately. Was hoping to get a look at them before they disappeared but that didn't happen.

Look forward to seeing either of them some time in the future.

This photo, which earlier on remlr was possibly credited as being 112-731 can now be dismissed as mine has no holes in the tub where a MG mount may have been bolted.
There should be two bolt holes through the tub floor on every gun buggy as the runner/channel for the front wheel of the 106 was mounted to the tub and also to a reinforcement stand between the driver's and crewie's seat. When a mod was done (well, in the case of the ones we used at least) any machine gun mount was either welded to the runner or made use of those existing bolt holes.
