ARN 38199 has arrived

For all those interested, I have received a unimog over here in Perth after a few months of waiting.
The Long term plan is to make it into a LRCV. And I’m thinking I might call it the MoFo LRCV in tribute to the SASR unimog. Anyway, I’ll try and attach some photos of the new toy to the fleet.

Yeah, from what I’ve seen it looks pretty strait. It’s got a bit of rust but I’ve been told they all do.
I’ve only spent an hour or so looking over it so looking forward to giving it a first service and a bit of love

I gave the big girl its first service on Monday and all looks pretty good.
Started repairing the rust to get it over the pits by wire buffing it back and then applying fertan (rust converter)
I did have some brown yuck come from the rear diff but I’m told it’s normal and leaches out of the rear axle assembly. I flushed the diff with deisel and engine oil then filled with good quality synthetic oil.
