To circle back in case anyone else finds this of interest in the future, I've run two front tyres without tubes for about a month now, front right on one Perentie, front left on the other, without issue. At this point I plan to just change the stems out as the tubes wear or encounter issues. In both cases there were very slow leaks which after pulling them had very small issues near the stem and tube connector.
