1959 CR 111-612
« on: October 17, 2017, 10:57:36 AM »
I have come across a command recon. ARN 111-612. Looks quite complete. Listed in the Remlr database as being sold in 1970 after being used as a training aid ( with an engine change ) in Victoria. Anyone have further information on where this may have been based etc.

I have recently acquired this vehicle as part of a deal involving a totally different type of machine. I have the motor running, it just needs the clutch and brakes overhauled and it'll be drivable again. Hope to have that done in a week or so. Did you find out any more about it's history?

No I didn't sorry. Are you going to keep it original?

Yes certainly will to the best of my ability. I have a very original condition FX ute in the shed, and when I went to look at a Cat loader, the Landrover was sitting in the paddock next to it. My old mechanic mate and I couldn't bear to leave it there to rot, so I did a bulk deal and brought them home together. Not sure what we'll do with it when we get it fully drivable again. Hoping to have it on a club rego in time for local Anzac day and then decide whether to keep it or find it a good home. Cheers and thanks for your reply.
