FFR Missing Switch / Switch Question
« on: August 02, 2017, 04:08:08 PM »
Hi All,

I have some newbie questions for you - sorry...

In the below picture - what does the push/pull switch on the right-hand-side steering column do? (If it was a petrol engine I would say that it's a choke...)

To the right of this switch, are 3 electrical switches.. Well - there are 2 there, and one is missing.

What is/was the missing switch for?

I haven't located an operating manual for the Perentie - otherwise I would have read it and worked this stuff out for myself..

My Perentie was dropped off home today from the local mechanic, who gave it a RWC... So I'll soon have it on historic plates!!!  8) ;D

Cheers,
GG

The choke cable is a throttle position lock. To operate, press the accelerator until you reach the revs you want, then pull the cable out and turn to lock.

The missing switch is in fact a missing blanking plate, so no big deal there.
