Realizing these were not Perentie parts, but that several members have stored parts, I am seeking the blower/evaporator unit used on the late 1980's/early 1990's 110 County wagons with the Isuzu 4BD1 and for associated parts (crankshaft belt gear, etc.). Several members have noted that they have pulled theirs or stored them in a shed, so I am hoping someone has one they are willing to part with. Photo attached with highlighted box around it. I believe the rest of the world was using a Land Rover MUC1663 at around this time, but for the Australian Market JRA had a specific unit built for the 110's.

You're probably best contacting KLR. They are likely to have the pulley and tensioner and they make a laser cut bracket to mount a universal Sanden style compressor. The County style York compressor is dated. You could use a County style A/C blower/evap and heater, but an under dash unit (i.e. the Australian only one) is much easier and - I think - a better result.

Thanks mate. I have seen the underdash units and agree they are superior in many ways but knee room. Regardless I want to try and put something together for the Perentie using the county bits, fitting it whilst keeping the vents in the dash and fabricating a cover to hold it all in place. Thank you for your suggestion though; truly a more sane route than the one on which I've decided to embark.

The Defender knee knocker not only inhibits room at the bottom edge of the dash, you need to have front passengers who have below knee amputations as there is no foot room either.

On the County AC unit, you also lost the entire parcel shelf as the vents and ducting filled the entire space.  Add to that most people who have the County a/c unit regularly complained about it's lack of performance.  There are a number of threads on the AULRO forum where members have replaced the county units with overhead units or utilised generic aftermarket units in various locations.

Have you considered something along the line of the overhead units fitted to some of the senior commander Perentie wagons?

Another option would be to install the County evaporator unit (if you can find one) and duct it to new vents in the lower dash then install a split/dual evaporator system again using a generic evaporator unit.

The under dash units are fine as long as you don't have long legs, and for some restorations very original.

I have a 110 going to the states with a centre twin system, single would suit 2 door vehicles.  These units offer more room n the cab area.  Rear roof units are also available but require more ducking and thus increase cost.

By split/dual evaporator unit, do you mean a secondary one to operate more efficiently for the entire cabin? I have fortunately located one of the county units (through the kindness of bearman over on aulro) and it is heading my way as we speak. Hopefully I will be able to fit it and get something working.

Do you have a link or photo of the centre twin system you referred to above?
