24V Lucas Starter problem. SIII Lightweight
« on: June 14, 2017, 06:20:43 AM »
A friend with a SIII Lightweight FFR is currently having starter problems.

Does anyone know an auto electrician who repairs/rebuilds 24V Lucas starters in Northern Sydney?

In relation to parts for above starter are there any recommended parts suppliers for Lucas starters anywhere in Oz?

(who was the vendor who bought up K B Classic Parts stock?)

Hi Diana,

I'd try Ken on 03 9440 1535

Ken is semi retired, he has been in the auto elec parts game for over 50 years. He is currently helping sort a warehouse full of Lucas parts and has a auto electrician mate who repairs / refurbishes starter motors etc.

He was very helpful when I was searching for very hard to find tail / indicator light assemblies for the LRPV - he managed to supply NOS .

He also had series 2a mil spec wiring harnesses, and would search the warehouse for items sort.

Good luck.
