Hi Stephen,

If you mean the examples of Unit Sign listing on pages 296-297 (it is not a comprehensive list), these are in unit sign number ascending order, on the basis that, if you are trying to identify a unit from an image which includes a visible Unit Sign, it is easier to find in the list.

was talking about the tac plates on the front of vehicles on the bumpers. that the unit ones and the div ones on some vehicles are on opposite sides and no uniformity

The images could be reversed to fit in the book better or the soldier that put them on didn't follow regulations. Kind of like taking photos on military bases and sharing them on facebook
