Perentie indicator problem.

The left hand front flashers aren't working (The one on the side of the mudguard and the one near the headlight.)
The rear one works on that side.

Where in the horrible mess of wires does the wire from the front lights plug to the wire that goes to the rear. If someone can provide this info it will save us from pulling the car apart to follow the wires.

The pos or neg wires may have separated behind that h/light....small hands or remove the flare/inner guard.

Or, check the wiring tangle under the air filter housing.

Use a multimeter or test lamp on the Positive (Live)contact in bulb holder, ensuring you put one lead to engine to get a good earth, if you have power there, then it is an earthing problem. This can also be checked in a similar way using the multimeter from bulb holder to engine. Just need to find where the earthing point is then.

  I see the prince of darkness is at it again, yep i agree with sixty and richard in their response, i would check to see if you have power to your flasher firstly then  take your pick either remove their cleaner assembly, check under there ,while your at it address the joiners by either putting some sort silicone grease in between the connectors, checking for power coming out then re assemble then go to the inner guard and start checking there, again check all earthing under dash and under engine bay, good luck,TONA.

The first thing I did was check for earthing and for power to the parts of the light assembly. No power perfect earth.

Is it your belief that the connection -front -rear column control is behind the aircleaner?

I'd start the connections under the guard.
My parker light assembly had corroded badly. I replaced the light assembly with a new one. Had to solder the old plugs (bullet pins) on the new one.

A single wire runs out through the guard to the front corner of the vehicle, where it enters a bullet plug junction block. From here a wire runs to both the side and front repeaters. Your problem is most likely the bullet plug that enters this junction block. It can be accessed by either removing the plastic flare or the entire headlight assembly (it's LH, so the washer bottle prevents access via the engine bay). It could also be elsewhere, but that would be my guess.

Well, it's all working again but we didn't find the cable junction.
Took out the washer reservoir, took out the aircleaner, took out the instrument panel, opened up the fuse compartment, opened the wireing behind the blackout switch, groped and searched and pulled at wires trying to follow the green with red. Kept checking with a test lamp, presto! or should I say Luco! The power was there! Put it all back together, checking as each piece was replaced but it kept working and is all back together.
The people who designed the wireing need to be replaced by designers with more modern knowledge. Ribbon cables, multi plug junction boxes, printed circuit instrument panel ,etc. There has been hardly any change since 1930. I've owned a few cars from that time and the only difference is: there were less wires then!

 ;DG/AY RESTLESS ROVER,  i would still take sixty's advice and check behind the air cleaner, there is a junction block there that gives trouble sometimes, I have  unplugged it and put electrical grease over the pins and pushing it back to gether,hope this may help,TONA.
