The Corowa CP "camp" went well.
The hostess, Karen, sorted things well. The new shower/toilet/kitchen area was complete and in operation. The BBQs worked well. The outdoor cinema was fun. The lack of Day-on-the-green party noise was terrific. The daily ferry to Ballpark lagoon (The LARC) was obviously a great thing even if the timetable was a mysterious and erratic thing.. I didn't see any other amphibs in operation as I didn't get to Ballpark as often as I'd like to. Another good thing was that the mil-veh shopping was so close and open from early to late (thx Rod). All good.
On Tuesday other members help us set up a cam net and to do this we borrowed Danny's Aust. cam net poles to assist our own U.S. cam net poles. Thank you to the course instructors. A few days later another digger filled me in on the finer points so next year it should be more crooked and with less straight sides. From Wednesday morning we also had a 11 x 11 tent on site. When we went to Blighty the trailer was stowed in there. We had a load of visitors and chats and really enjoyed the caravan park setting. I saw about 4 flies the entire week and no mozzies. I did hear one or two people say that they had mozzies but we didn't.
