Perth Anzac Day Parade with veteran Bill Wilson, the photos are from the TV so the quality isn't perfect and doesn't show all the Land Rovers.

We did Mullumbimby NSW again this year, RFSV, 6x6 Doublecab and a Tithonus.  We even had some of the older chaps who could not walk the route in the back of the 6x6. Very enjoyable day and the RSL was good too.

A bit damp in Melbourne yesterday, although the showers held off for most of the march.

Here is 178 193 waiting for some customers in a fairly recognisable spot!

Sadly, I couldn't stay for the march this year.

Did you get any customers? There seems to be a growing trend amongst the ANZAC day marches of preferring classic cars over military vehicles.

I must admit I don't get the Australian flag bit, I thought Anzac day is about remembrance not Patriotism - there is a difference. Also I have spent nearly every Australia day overseas on business for the last 10 years except the last two years and noticed a massive difference in how people celebrate Australia day, flags everywhere.

maybe I'm old school but feels more and more like American patriotism not Australian remembrance and pride

Sorry not following your point on the flag bit.  It is our national emblem, we fought under the flag (as per its design of the day), the flag precedes the marchers and in my 30 years in the military the flag or a version of it was always nearby - I saluted it a 8.00 on every work day and when duty, saluted it at 8.00 and at sunset.

I think it is an integral part of our remembrance of those who served and who fell.

Actually, didn't the ANZACs fight under the Union Jack?

I have always recognised the Australian and New Zealand flags with Anzac Day, one reason I have both on the vehicles.  I also could not help notice the amount of people who had AU flags at the parade, then theres the flags at the cenotaph and the ones at the RSL across the road.

Yeah I understand that, I just don't get flags hanging off vehicles driving up and down the roads for no specific purpose nor do I get flags being worn/wrapped around people

Flying the Australian flag on your car is racist, apparently.
