Trying to find info on 49-222
« on: March 02, 2017, 07:12:40 PM »
Hi everyone. Chasing info on 49-222 if anyone has anything.  No log book supplied unfortunately so hoping someone might have something  tucked away somewhere re its former life.  I know probably just grabbing at straws but worth a try! Have been told it was ex Timor sent back late 2012 and partly stripped for Qaurantine - sold eagle farm auction  2013 june. Have since found behind the Fuse box a " TOKE" Timor telecom voucher for $2. Has a date of ?6-06-12 on the rear side so it appears to have still been there 12 months prior to auction. Also someone appears to have had a sweet tooth - found an absolute mountain of sml choclate wrappers neatly folded and "Filed away for safe keeping"  posted in through a gap behind the blackout switch panel when i removed it to replace the dimmer, all wrappers marked as being manufactured in indonesia. Anyhow if anyone one has anything would be appreciated. Cheers.

Stenny,

For what its worth, I think you know more about your vehicle than most.

Keep up the research by all means, but if I were you, write that information that you mention above into an open letter and keep it with your vehicle records. Include the token and wrappers as evidence.

You have found rare providence of operational service.... that is awesome :)

Cheers.

49-222 served with 108 Signal Squadron in the early 1990s which, as part of 4th Bde, was/is an Army Reserve unit.

Therefore, it was probably serving with another unit by the time it was deployed to ET.
