Time of the year for reading. I read some of the book Race for the Reichstag.

I also just watched an interesting 7 minutes of footage shot in July of 1945 in Berlin.

Maybe I'm late to the party but I have seen there are now quite a few restored films on youtube (various quality).

The Russian military KIA figures are 800,817 from 1 January to 8 May 1945 (~18 weeks av. 44,500 per week).
