We could RV Melbourne on Monday around lunchtime  then over night at Yea, pushing thru to Rutherglen on the Tuesday.

It would be a scenic , leisurely , drive.

It would be a lot of fun.

Mick

Yeah that sounds really good.
Lots...............

Sounds like a good plan.

This years drive up was great, I'm definetely in for 2018.

Hopefully with more than one vehicle as well, those jxxps don't stand a chance.

Cheers,

Mike.

Its going to be a long drive for me next year. Move the Perentie about 100m, stop park, run back and get the SIII, drive 110 metres, stop park, run back and get Gog the SIIB F/C, drive 120 metres, stop park, run back to get the first one and repeat doing 100 metres each time.

Unless I get the gunbuggy done then the relay will be 4 vehicles! :)

Sounds a sensible method.
You'll probably be there before us.

On the way to Corowa from Gosford via Syd then up and out to Eugowa picking up mates.  Stopped the night at Wagga and then down to Ballpark arriving Tues to get a good spot.

We have 2 101's to transport.  Mind you we can drive 1 each.  It will be a long 1,400k trip with both.  we will see. might enjoy travelling by myself only stopping for a break.

My 1st time at Corowa , i really enjoyed the meet. We set up in the non powered oval area where the grass definatly wasnt greener on the other side.  A good mix of vehicles as i had expected.

The Stolly that wanted to play on the dirt pile while the Remlr photoshoot was trying to take a group picture.
Apparently had some stragglers to arrive for the group photo by which time some had begun to leave.

I have to say though i was dissappointed at whoever organised the group photo in shadows and bushes.  To say the Stolly ruined the shoot (  the owner wouldnt listen until firmly told to shut it down ) was nothing to do with the fact it was in such a terrible location. No matter what angle vehicles were unseen or in the dark. An open field in sunlight i thought wasnt rocket science even for the non experienced photographer.

I was really looking forward to being in the group Remlr photo.  When i saw how they were assembled in a such a bad location i lost all interest.
Maybe someone has a miricle photo, perhaps from the drone before the Stolly kicked up all the dust.
Oh well there is always next year when everyone should pull their fingers out and make the effort to beat the jeeps !! Seriously where does all the Frontline auction 110s go ???  I know its a big effort, i travelled 1500klm in my 69' 109GS S2a. Its a mission i know. But we cant let a bunch of jeeps have a bigger turn out on the year of the Landrover !  Cmon peoples..

I found it difficult to remember names to faces and remlr usernames. But i did manage to meet a few members on here and make some new friends.  Had a great time and cant wait till the next one. I didnt mind the crowd , you just had to know your clearances and be good at manovering your vehicle around the other campers. I found everyone had managed to squish into a spot yet still have the curtasy to allow access in and out of the grassy area for others around them. The sound of the flat head V8's and the airstart Mack, the quietness of the Internationals supprised me.  Hot water was always hot and you didnt have to jump around in the shower to get wet.  Plus there was 3 ammenties blocks in different directions to choose from all about equal distance. The lagoon / beach was great to cool off every day in the river.  Thanks to the boys that set up the theatre tent and played war movies of a night, i got to see hacksaw ridge, and my mate bought a packboard that was used in that movie.  We stayed up most nights having a couple of drinks,  but did our best to keep noise to a minimum. Maybe not the case for the first night.  We did appologise the next day, but was given an abrupt response saying its too late now, you should have thought about that before you started drinking.... yeah right. Drink and think ?  We would of shut up if anyone told us too.   So i appologise again if we made too much noise having a few drinks and having some fun.
