Quickway Crane
« on: October 17, 2016, 06:53:57 PM »
Trying to get more info on a Quickway Crane which I think was photographed 10 or maybe 20 years ago.

Have some pictures  but the location and telephone numbers have been eroded away.

Any help to indentify from where it came.

Hi Juddy, as a bit of a side line to your request ,if you go to the, 514 QM Truck Regiment in the U.K,(follow link) scroll down the page, Click on the ammo box in corner of page marked Forum ,then click on Vehicles Box/section, go down the page about 30 vehicles, there is photos of the members restoring a 1944 Brockway truck and Quickway Crane, Hope this maybe interesting?
Regards Ian

I remember Ferndell Cranes well. They had heaps of ex US army cranes.I had the remains of a NR Mack /Northwestern crane they owned.Still have the gears and winches, was always planning to use the gears in a traction engine.Last I saw of Ferndell ,they were in a shed at Eagle Farm with one Coles Endurance. And a couple of brokendown Limas on 6x6 carriers ex US Army.Regards John
