He's away in Mongolia just now but I think he will be back soon.

Try sending it to allen@wilderness-agencies.com.au.

I think his new forum name here was Restless Rover.

Bartlett_canvas_products isn't Restless Rover/Red Rocket.
Pretty sure he doesn't sell through eBay.

I just made a call and he will be in Mongolia until early November. The area he is in has no internet access at the moment, so his inbox is full and messages will bounce until he can get on to clear it.

Hi All,

Yes The Booger is 100% correct.

Why not try this guy, he's taken over trying to get enough interest in Workshop canopies, as I'm way too busy with other major projects at the moment

My other option is to shorten the NOS 109 canopy I have.
That may work out cheaper.

Hi Cliffy

yes you can use the front and rear bows from a 109 set of sticks, but unlike the 109 set the middle bow is supported off a bracket on the horizontal bar (it doesn't extend down to the capping like the 109 middle bow).  IRC the horizontal on an 88 is longer than the ones on a 109, so you'll likely have to make that with its brackets from scratch.

Your other option is to use a second hand front and rear parts from a 109 and get the middle section as reproduction items from Exmoor Trim in the UK.

Cheers Dianna,
I might have a buyer for the NOS canopy and I don't really want to potentially wreck it.
The sticks, yeah, might have to hand fab something.

Anyone know what red rocket was charging for the 88" canopies and/or what a NOS 109 canopy would be worth?

I hear he's close to $1500 now for a SWB.

You would be way better to cut the middle out of your 109 canopy. Probably about $250 cost to do that. So you'd have to sell the 109 for 1250 to make it worthwhile.

Regards
Scott.

Wouldn't the window either end up in the wrong place or end up being cut out?

You'd also have to re-position the reinforcing over the middle hoop.

With the price of new, I would think (just an opinion) that selling the 109 tarp and getting a new 88 would end up about the same cost and then you wouldn't have the extra seam in the roof.
