Gday Dave  ;-)

Unfortunately I handed over the reins to a successor a couple years ago. Now base in TVL.

The new ambo is basically a Gwgn 6x6 with a pod (unlike the LR variant which had extras mounted to the base veh). This makes it easier to swap the module from veh to veh if req.
In 'std' trim it has 1 lying and up to 3 sitting patients with a medic in the centre seat (with engel behind). The three seats can be removed and a second litter frame fitted (resides in the r/h roof coffin).

Def not smaller or lighter car...5.3T empty! GVM is 6.5T like all other 6x6 G's.

Al, so you've gone from paradise to the desert, eh? :(
Are you ducking out to the pond beside the highway for you're barra fix?

Thanks for the info on the seating. I wonder if the rationale for less stretchers is a function of the G never going into combat = less need to cope with mass casualties.
Cheers

Reggie central, I'll bet!

Surely the powers that be aren't tasking a pmv out, every time there is an ex happening? That's a lots bucks for limited use.
