Hi Jay,

Here's the auction out of the Army, March 2019.

The ARN matching that VIN is "49-870" and it was sold at 3777HRs on the HR meter. There is no mention of the vehicle Log Book at the time of the auction - the logbook would have a lot of info on who operated the vehicle over the last 30 years.

A google search for that VIN also shows an advert on ebay for that FFR and another for it at the dealer on the old Pennant Hills road in Sydney.

Ordinarily I would run out of info there, at the google search....

BUT, BONUS!!!!!!!!!

49-870 was at a Army Reserves base at Adamstown (Newcastle) where I took pics of it in the early 2000's, it was one of the FFRs that got started and warmed up every Tuesday night. Occasionally a service or a washdown was needed. I was also there on a lot of Tuesday nights and the same routine more or less applied to us.

49-870 was attached to Combat Engineers there, parked on the fenceline beside the golf course. Chances are it has been under sporadic and random attack from wayward golfballs for a number of years :)

Thats a start for you on your info hunt, but the Logbook would be best. Where it is... who knows.
