By any chance does anyone know where I could get hold of one of these?



Panel Power distribution No 8.

Also, it has a mounting bracket,



These mount it to the tub, above the radio table in the Series 2 2A FFT.

I am kicking myself, my local aussie disposals had at least 2 of these on a shelf for years, I never bought them as I didn't need them at the time.

This will be another piece in the puzzle for the FFT, very useful when I install the radio batteries....

So, let me know if there are any spare ones out there!

Hi Mike,

I have a 'Panel, Power Distribution No 8' spare, however it is missing the power meter, the lower quick connect socket assembly and has been in the weather, how does $35 sound ?

Postage would be a bit expensive from here though 😳

Toole's Disposals once used to have some of the angle iron fabricated brackets  (still fitted with correct nut & bolts ) years ago - Bill may still have some in a corner of his warehouse at Bandiana.

Well, no luck with Tooles, they don't have any brackets or any Power panels left.

I have also sent a message to Tim Vibert, can anyone suggest anyone else to try?

Hi Mike

I think I have some thing similar?  No cover plate and some bits are the same.... We used it a few years ago on a diving system to sync standby batteries - it was working when we discontinued the diving system after the contract. I have a few more photographs. Gauge works.  This has  been holidaying on a shelf and your post jogged my memory. vv

Great to meet you as well Frank, I don't usually meet people by the side of the freeway after dark, but in your case, happy to make an exception!

I am very happy with the power panel, it will form a crucial part of the FFT restoration, so thank you.

This kind of thing is what makes REMLR great.

The hunt is now on for the mounting bracket, there must be one gathering dust somewhere....

Glad that worked out for you. The panel you got looks mint and has the ultra rare fine threaded brass wingnuts !

No worries Phill,

I know that this will take a while, but finding all the correct parts is part of the fun.

It looks like this particular power panel never had the mod to cover the terminals on the lower front, or the fittings for the power connectors below the main case.
Very well built, this is why we won the cold war I guess.

I am very happy with it though, particularly as it is serviceable, it will go a long way to helping the FFT to get up and running.
