Repro 106mm RCL
« on: September 19, 2018, 02:21:58 PM »
Going to start down the road soon of making/getting made a replica 106mm RCL. Non operational of course.
So I'm looking for manuals, technical docs, drawings of the gun and its parts.
Either originals if people wish to sell them or links to PDFs and online sources. The more the better.
Also wishing to hear from people already on this journey, perhaps we can pool resources/contacts etc.
Would love to buy as much original kit as possible, especially the M79 mount.

I did a quick google for "106 recoilless rifle drawings" one of the top results was a PDF : Engineering Design Handbook: Recoilless Rifle Weapon ... - DTIC
besides a ****load of calculations it seemed to have some technical data in there,
So many Landy's, None going :(

I don't think I have anything that isn't online already so I don't think I can help there much sorry.  Just be careful of what your local legislation on replica firearms is.

A mate imported a tank from the UK to Tasmania, and the vehicle didn't even have a breech, let alone a barrel, and the machine gun was a flat plate silhouette.  Tas police granted a firearms exemption for the scaffolding that was posing as a barrel, but would not grant a 2nd firearms exemption (for a vehicle with no weapons) for the flat plate machine gun !!

LOL +++ I would like to get a few 106mm primers, fill the cases with a pillow sack of AR 2206/7/9 etc and see what happens when I hit the primer with a pin punch and a hammer, I mean if you have a death wish go right ahead, but I haven't any ideas on where you would get a primer LOL just being stupid LOL cheers dennis
