Source for rubber bumpers
« on: June 07, 2016, 01:22:09 PM »
Hey all,

I have searched the forums to find a source for the rubber bumpers used in the RFSV side racks.

And the rear double Jerry can holder.

Anyone find a source for these items?

Thank you,
Mac

The side bin rubbers are cut down sections of the jerry can holder rubber.

All available through Land Rover spare parts. I purchased mine through them and they were not expensive. Look up the RPS for the part numbers.

I've looked the part numbers up in Perentie manual but have been able to find a Land Rover parts dealer whose on-line search returned any availability for these parts.

Part Number: HYG2543 (BUFFER STRIP; NSN:9320-66-128-4708)

Part Number: HYG3114 (STRIP-RUBBER; NSN: 5330-66-128-5190)

anyone able to find these parts in stock?

Thanks,
Mac

Only available from LRA, overseas Rover suppliers don't recognise those HYG/BYG/AYG numbers.

Yea, those are all LRA part numbers. The prefixes stand for HYG - Highly Expensive . BYG- Bloody Expensive. and AYG- stands for Australian Defence Force Mark-Up  ;D ;D

I thought it was:
"Here You Go", as in "Yes we have it in stock",
"Bob's Yer Granddad", as in "We had to scratch around to find it, but I pulled in a few favours and located one in Woop Woop".
"Ahh, You're Gutted", as in "It's no longer available, and you won't ever find one".

But that doesn't help Mac101, who is in the US and can't pop down to the local JRA dealer.
