Hi Guys

I removed the seat to have a look at my fuel tank (as I am chasing the source of a diesel smell) and I was surprised to find the yellow wire in attached picture just dangling there.

Should it be connected somewhere?

My fuel pump and tank gauge seem to be working fine as is.

Thanks for any help,
Pete

Yes it should be attached to the sender unit. You will find a connection that it should fit onto. One wire is the sender and the other is the low fuel light so if your sender /gauge is working fine then it must be the low fuel light.

Thanks mate, that makes sense.

I can't see any connector for it. Must have fallen off.

It needs a 'bullet' terminal then re-fitted to the threaded terminal  ;)
