Hi they are not the original but still correct as they are off an inter and quite often fitted especially to workshops.
The square white ones are NOT correct.

Originals are square but more rounded edges and black

Cheers
Scott

Okay so I'll leave the 'inter style' ones on there then. Thanks Scott.

Hello NatoMan

This Series 3 FFR has the same mirrors. They were on the vehicle when disposed of from the army. I suspect that were installed on the vehicle to give a much better rear view for the driver. In the FFRs case, to see rearwards past the antenna mounts.

My GS series 3 has the same mirrors. It appears to have been a common mod. A bit of a pain if you had to strip it down to fit in a Caribou.

Hello All,

My two FFRs Series III have what looks like an extended arm coming from the window frame. Looks like a piece of round pipe that has both ends heated up and then hammered flat. That probably gave more clearance to see away from the antennae mounts. I also have a couple of civilian Series III and the mirror arms are minuscule in comparison to the FFR ones.

There are two different mirror heads on one FFR and only the arms left on the other one.

Kind Regards
Lionel
