Ex. Platypus 16
« on: March 21, 2016, 02:25:03 PM »
 :D

Wow, this was really enjoyable. Thanks to Brad (Kaneya) and Daryl (Dusty Oval aka Magellan) for setting it all up and Shane (for mech. sorting of the Inter.)

It turned out to be a great time with good memories.

The planning was done in this thread in the Inter section:

Can't wait for Ex. Platypus 17. The Platypus name came up from a few laughs along the way. Somehow.

**Please post pics from 2016 here.

Here's one from the celebration dinner afterwards, Sunday 13th March.

Here's our Platypus pics in an album. Some things missed out being photographed, eg, walking a wallaby track downhill from the track where the Inter had stopped for unscheduled maintenance to the mountain creek, bare rocks and whitewater and all, and checking out the cool water on that hot day. Also the unscheduled rough track exploration and subsequent roadside repairs carried out by Daryl and Mick while lunch was had up on top of the hill. Also, photos can't show the smells from the long drop at Pineapple Flat.

Looks like Mick is driving a levitation car.

The wheels can't be seen touching the ground.

Great pics mate, was great fun, but that name platypus has to go. I'm all for Razorback Run with a boar logo and as chief executive officer, mines the only vote that counts. Lol.
Man I learnt a lot about mechanics in three days.....not least of which the inter is getting an electronic ignition, I can't keep replacing condensers. Had a few bangs on the way home from Corowa....I'm not doing that again.

Boys ,

it was lots of fun, Brad there is a mob down here near me who supplied both Magellan and my shorties electronic ignition and they work brilliantly.  Let me know if you want their details.

Thank you for all your hard work.

Cheers,

Mick

Weren't you coming to 16? Did we get stencils for the tactical bean bags? Are you carrying the plasma TVs and dvd on 16?

Yeah but got busy with a heap of personal stuff but next year she's on!  I bringing odd angry shot for high rotation.

The DPBB/Bean Bag - Combat is on the way. I didn't get Mick to click any out. Must do that. Probably needs an NSN number too.
Lots...............

I posted I'd like to go, you blokes turned up. Shane repaired everything. For a plumber he makes a great mechanic.
Bigger and better next year.

Here's the video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8GalexKfsI&fmt=22

Its a small step up from yesterdays efforts. Learning more and more - its an epic 7 minutes long. It'll break the internet.

So shut your eyes and imagine there's a Hollywood blockbuster movie Premiere downtown with a long line of stretch olive drab limos and a red carpet with ditsy-tuxedo-wearing-microphone-holding-metrosexual-bottom-feeding-wannabes looking for wardrobe malfunctions. There's an after party too, at Ball Park Studios, West Hollywood. In a hootchie.
