Seat belts

Hi all

I've recently purchased a 4x4 GS Perentie and at some point mismatched front seat belts have been fitted, which I need to rectify before I can register it. The drivers side is fine but the passenger side belt has a 28mm wide tongue and a floor mounted stalk to accept a 21mm wide tongue. I therefore either need to replace the belt with one that has the 21mm tongue fitted or replace the floor mounted stalk with one that will accept the wider 28mm tongue.

Can anyone help please.

Shpercheap, Auto 1, Bursons, Repco, Autobarn. They all can get replacement seat belts in and may even have some in stock.

Can you legally install 2nd hand belts for a roadworthy, I was told this is a big no no.

It varies from state to state; some say yes, some recommend against it, but allow, and others say it's illegal.

Qld is in the recommend against, but allow category:
