Well today was one of those days (daze),. I have had this little intermittent problem with 113-372 with the brakes, one application and they stay on

, I've been back tracking it and worked out that the problem is in the pedal mainly in the bronze bearing that the pedal hinges on, it's way too tight. There isn't a grease nipple fitted so after ratting around various bits etc I found a suitable grease nipple 90deg bend etc 1/4" x 28TPI, a bit of a fiddle to fit it but managed to screw it in only to find it's pointing down away from me, a closer look with a torch shows that it could or rather looked like it needed to go a full half turn, so on with a 3/8"AF spanner and I turned it, only to find it went loose all of a sudden!!!

%$#@ *&^ I snapped it off (swear words+++) my mind was shouting at me you bloody fool, anyway luck was on my side (for once) I managed with my small fingers to get an easy-out into place and it screwed out without too much fuss

think lad,

I knew I had this little pile of nipples but sadly all the wrong thread size
http://i659.photobucket.com/albums/uu319/DJM110/IMG_0483.jpgI checked my supply of pintle hooks, they have grease nipples, again wrong size, where can I get a nipple at 1645hrs in this town, nowhere was the answer, then I remembered borrow, the one fitted to the handbrake bell crank, this did the job, and now the pedal is allowing the brakes to come off (after a liberal squirt of grease),

, I suppose the proof will be in the driving, so thats gonna have to wait for a week or two, anyway cheers Dennis
