The second is a '71 wide light.
Now, that would be rare. Possibly the only one.
Tommy, care to comment? What do you know of this one?

The LRPV in that photo is 179-500. This LRPV still exists today. It sits rotting up at Mt Barnett.

There were five late S2A Land Rovers used by the SASR. I have three of those: 179-502, 179-520 & 180-899.

I thought they were going to scrap them.
I understand someone bought the 101s. Has anyone enquired recently about the LRPVs?

Two were rescued this time last year. Both now in Perth.

Not sure what has happened to the others.

A visit in person is required to get them rolling for transport.
2 should be easy enuf. The 3rd may not be worth bringing back and may be stripped for parts if that turns out to be the case. We were beaten by the Wet last year.

Yeah, that would be the mk1 LRPV. Had the rifle “scabbards “ like a pink panther. At least one was totally scrapped once it left the army. For all the foot draggers I contacted about the Barnett LRPVs, they are officially scrapped.
I could not ge there in time to save the last 3-4.
Makes the rest worth more now.
