Perentie DS Window Frame.
« on: October 23, 2015, 02:42:31 PM »
Would anyone have one of these - prefer without glass, or know where I might procure one, please.
Mine had a crack in the front frame channel when purchased from AFM and now flaps incessantly.

PM me please.
Cheers,  Daryl.

Assuming you mean the windscreen frame, and assuming that you really need one in a hurry, Triumph-Rover Spares in SA would be my first enquiry - the price may be a bit high though

Hi dugite,
No, the way I wrote it, sounds a bit ambiguous.  I need the window frame for the drivers side door and there's no hurry ... it has been broken now for the 2 years that I have had the vehicle.   Sorry for the confusion.

Cheers,  Daryl.

That clarifies it a bit then - so it's the whole detachable window frame assembly - (I should have picked up on the DS  :) )

There should be some around.

If it proves hard to get I'm assuming that a Series 2 or 3  window will fit  (I haven't tried to fit one but the securing stud spacing (abt 690mm+or-) seems to be the same).  If you know someone with a Series LR you could maybe see if it would fit OK.

Thanks dugite,
The series 3 solution may be the last choice ... is the series 3 frame steel or aluminium?
Cheers,  Daryl.

Hello Circlework,

If you don't mind doing a little bit of work, a weekend project with a hydraulic bottle jack, or portapower unit would assist you straighten this unit.
RH door top off my Perentie which had been rolled when I got it off Grays-Online Auctions, obviously the Roll Bars did what they were fitted to do.

I have enclosed some photos to illustrate the extent of the damage, in my opinion it is repairable / straightenable, If you agree and want it pm me
your address and you pay the postage.

Cheers.

That's a more than generous offer, poundsterling.
I won't take you up on it just yet, but if my other options fall flat, then if it's still available, I'll give you a pm.
Thanks.
Cheers,  Daryl.
