Photo of my RFSV waiting for clutch & KLR turbo in garage.  Also doing some minor rust repairs & other work aiming to have it back together by Wednesday morning as booked in for exhaust.

Looks like good progress -

Just a tip, if you are getting exhaust work done, get them to give enough extra clearance on the rear tyre to enable the fitment of 255 85 16s.

The lower gearing of the RFSV together with a turbo will drive this larger size very well. Also,  this size is the largest that fits in the spare space underneath  :)

As I'm told, this is KLR's heavy duty clutch.   ;D

I'm a bit confused. Are you ChrisJ or Mac101? Both have posted in this topic stating it is their RFSV.

Yeah, Chris wanted to join in with the work on his RFSV.  My RFSV ARN 51613 was the object of this thread.  Sorry for the confusion.

Hey Juddy,
My read on import regulations (I'm not an expert) are that the vehicle has to be in "substantially" unmodified condition (whatever that means).  I had planned to have the turbo upgrade but changed my mind after re-reading import guidelines.

I guess it would be possible to purchase an engine at auction and have KLR do turbo upgrade on it then import as LTL.

Or get them to mail you a kit after you have it imported and complianced/certified/registered or what ever it is over there.
