Army Trailer Springs, where to buy?
« on: September 20, 2015, 10:35:56 PM »
Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can buy replacement springs for my 750kg ex-army trailer.
I replaced them with Land Cruiser 60-series front springs but they are no where near as heavy duty as the originals (which were very rusted)

Length from eye-eye is about 1050mm and twice the weight as the Land Cruiser ones.
Original trailer manufacturer is Cooks.

Thanks in advance,
Jarrod.

I'd call dobinsons, they seem to be the experts in custom stuff.
Here's the head office number in Rockhampton

Thanks, Today I went into Ballina Suspension and he is going to get me some HD Toughdog leafs to suit a 60-Series Cruiser (front). He is going to modify them 1inch lower than the +2inch they come in. Along with this I will be installing greasable shackles, new bushes etc.
Mine are completely stuffed, sagging on one side and don't suit the weight I carry.

If anyone still knows original manufacture details though, still please mention details here for the record.

Cheers,
Jarrod.
