Springs

Hi all,
Has anybody fitted Dobinson springs to their 110 Perentie?
Just bought some new Terrafirma shocks and I'm travelling back to the NT via Rocky and while I'm there I thought I'd grab a set.
Part Nos? Good value?
Cheers

I have just finished fitting new front springs on the 6x6 and couldn't be happier. Mine were custom built by them and sit perfect height and ride, however they take up to two weeks to be made so might be an issue if you are on a schedule. In my opinion well worth the wait. I would give them a call and talk to Ray to discuss options and things as he was the one to do my truck and seems to be the "go to guy" for the not so common stuff. He also seems to pride himself on going the extra bit to ensure everything is done once and done right. You can mention me (aka SCARY) to jog his memory if you wish.
Cheers

Hey Banjo,
I can't help with part numbers, but my perentie came with a set of 2" lift dobinson coils already in it. If I was going to use the car for lots of highway ks id stick with standard height ones, other than that they've been good and I've got no issue with them. Cheers

The problem I've noticed with dobinsons is to get more height they just increase the spring rate. Which means in theory they ride well on road but are poo off road.

Check out this thread for spring data.

Also you will notice I never found the factory spring info for the Perentie.

But I do know they are HD springs and sit 40mm taller in the front 50mm taller in the rear over stock Defender height. (Or was it 30/40?)
