Series I 1958 LWB Fire Engines (Ex Woomera)

Hi there all

Again these vehciles are questionable if these are Military but were purchase by state suply for firefighting duties at Woomera by WRE (Weapons Research Establishment) - they did not have military plates but "C" plated (Commonwealth Vehicles)

I purchased 122803315 from Jervios (SA) country fire service for $1500 but have spend considerable amount of time and energy to get where it is today - then last year I was offered its sister vehcile 122803316 when the previous owner came for a visit - and 122803315 & 122803316 are now reunited in the shed after many years........

They are both fitted with a AMAG PTO driven 250 gpm pump - with a small water tank but are designed to work from external water sources such as dams creaks of fire hydrants.  They spent many years in service at Wommera and both vehicles doing 12-14000 miles.  I am planning to refurbish 122803316 as its got charater and style (and full restroation will spoil this)
