Perentie gearbox/transfer case oil
« on: July 22, 2015, 09:43:38 PM »
I have read somewhere that the Perenties run engine oil in the gearbox/transfer case.
Is that correct?
I've never heard if that and why?
While I've got you what is the correct diff oil to use?
I love this forum (wife hates it)!

Yes. Engine oil in the gearbox and transfer case.

Don't use gear/diff oil that dissolves yellow metal.

Have a look here

My search returns what is attached:

I've changed the post a bit owing to the fact "Oils ain't oils, Sol."
