Okay,  Peace and Tranquility and Pleasant thoughts to all Man and Womankind out there.
You'll just have to take this old WarDonkey out and shoot me.

And maybe I'm only guessing after all.
I just know I've got one of the RFSVs that came out first.
You know,,,   THE PRETTY ONE.

Good morning Warrick,

1. When I get to work I will email you the spreadsheet I did up for price and part number for new rims.
2. I have put .30 cal ammunition boxes in the square holes between the seats and they are too small.
3. If I can find the photo of what is meant to go in there I will email it to you also....but I don't know what they are. Lol.
4. Excuse my ignorance, but what is a PAM? I think I'd like to read this document.
5. Does anybody know where to buy the straps for the side bins to hold the jerry cans in?
6. Does anybody know where the hi lift Jack is meant to be stored on the upgraded/mark 2 version?

Thanks Warrick for a good thread and thanks for everyone's input and knowledge:)

Nice work Aussiegregmac. Ha Ha!!! I have the "Mission Kit RFSV", "Mark 2", "Version 2", "First One" or I guess now known in some circles as the "Ugly One"! Thanks for everyone's help on the box issue. Maybe I will knock up a couple of wooden boxes to fit. It seems a waste not to use this space. Image below of the space so there is no confusion between versions.

Regards Warrick.

Pam = pamphlet

All equipment is issued with a instructional pam.
Just about everything is on a pam.
I remember the style is very much the same no matter what the subject..

Drill and other infantry training is narrated by a secco and they are fairly repetitive;

"By the end of this lesson you will be able to..." [groan] and they use a lot of bullet points. In fact they may have given rise to the term "bullet points" for all I know.

Nowadays there are many many powerpoint guides/lessons too.

Just had the official price list of the Split Solid Centre Rims sent to me. Thanks Tristan! Part number BYG5324. Barbagallo Land Rover have them for $2293.83 each or you can get a bargain from Rovacraft at $2018.56. Probably plus GST though. Almost worth buying an RFSV just for the rims at those prices! Especially if you get 7 wheels with the vehicle.
Regards Warrick.

Kind of makes you wonder why people winge at anything more than $500 used.

After having a think about the storage space behind the front seats I decided to use them for more water storage. The space fits 2 of the Protec 22L water jerry cans very snugly. I will be doing a bit of remote travel in January 2016 so the ability to carry over 120 litres of water will be great. I will also knock up a couple of wooden crate type boxes that fit into the space as well so I have options when I don't need to carry so much water.

I have found that my fridge fits really nicely on the rack the spans the storage spaces and it is a handy spot for a fridge as you can easily access it from the front seat. The power supply is already there via the cigarette lighter that is mounted on the roll cage. It is a work in progress and I am enjoying learning how to use the vehicle to suit me best.

I will be heading to Dirk Hartog Island for a couple of weeks in January on a fishing expedition with a couple of mates. It is a remote part of the world and most of the preparation I am doing on my RFSV at the moment is for that trip. Hopefully a Military trailer fitted with a rooftop tent will be with me for the trip too but I still have to find a trailer and fit that out too. More questions to come re the trailer fit out I am sure!

Regards Warrick.

Ok Warrick, I did some research on the flight home and I think I've found out what the compartments are between the front seats and rear facing seat.

Thanks P6X6. Just have to work out what type of Ammo Box fits there and where to get them but that shouldn't be too hard.
Regards Warrick.
