Rained all night, tons and tons. Kept waking me up.
Tracks will be soggy.

Soggy and foggy today unfortunately. The trails were awash and muddy in most places.

I was driver for most of the way to Mt Coree but then switched to the passenger seat and Stevie drove the last click up to the peak. Safe to say that he enjoyed it a lot. I doubt he'll be thinking of anything else all week except buying his own Perentie. He has saved up 5K so far.
The mountain was misty/low cloud and light rain then heavier and then light again depending on the gusts. I guess it was a minus 10 C wind chill on the peak with the low visibility and thick mist rolling through.

We had the peak to ourselves whilst we were there, but as we headed down we had to negotiate about 10 other vehicles on the way up. One Kia thing had some crunchy underbody noises from side of the road boulders.

We then drove back to Urriara West where there are old fashioned concrete shelters with fireplaces, a table and a roof. See pics. We had a BBQ there. A local wallaby came to see us and it was evident the place was a Wombat hot-spot. Greg set up his dipole aerial to get some HF, rigged off his Ag-bike with a telescopic mast no less. We had some good discussions and then came home about 1730. The river was well up and flowing as if in flood. The crossing was open still.

Pics and a video when the computer gets around to it.

A good day once again. Looking forward to the next meet up already!
