Going Brit
« on: June 30, 2015, 10:40:03 PM »
I'm going to try the M.O.D style of removing the headlight surrounds. I like the simple, utilitarian look of it. I'll paint the recesses matt black and the light rings too and post a pic. If I no like I put back the escutcheons.  :) I'd be interested in the comments here too.

Daryl is this regarding your Series 3 or a Series 2, 2a?
I ask as i have a S2,2a MOD grille mesh, been sitting here a long time. It has no bonnet lever cut out.

Cheers  ;) I plan to, depends on work. I was there this year sans truck, carby issues. But want to bring it next year. Since this photo was taken I have fitted the OE front exhaust from the donor wreck and removed its scoop panel (that was a trial) so will have that and a new tilt to suit plus other assorted missing bits :D

Aye, that's correct. I restored my OE grille, fitted it and found the winch lever fouled the grille  ::)  I fitted this one (from NZ) to solve that issue. So now I have a pristine OE grille
