Canberra campfire #1
« on: June 07, 2015, 09:57:24 PM »
Went for a Sunday drive for a coffee today, a beaut sunny-blue-sky day.

It was a spur of the moment idea, Stevie and me in our 110 FFR and WT in his 110 GS.

WT's GS just spent time at KLR this week having a turbo fitted (came back Friday) and its tops.

We just drove 15km west to the Cotter and went up into the hills.

Made a campfire and had coffee and a chat. Back home in a couple of hours. A good break.

Now I'm thinking we should take a couple of hours for a campfire and a coffee somewhere as often as we can with as many people as would like to come, whether as drivers or as passengers.

Hi Tommy, thx for that, it was good because it was so close and quick.

All the photos -and the videos- were snapped by Stevie, except for the one where he's using an axe which I took.

A mate and I took our Defenders up to Brindabella NP last weekend to spend the night - glad we did it on Saturday, as Sunday night apparently saw the place covered in snow.

Well the wind was from the NNW and so it was a warm sunny weekend here in contrast to recent freezing weather.
In Vic they definitely have snow: eg http://bushcraftoz.com/forums/showthread.php?8470-Lake-Mountain-back-trails-Queens-Birthday
