Hi I am after parts as well but having no luck. but most of the parts are the same as a normal 110 that you need like the dash parts and you could use the seat out of one as well, the bonnet as well

I have deliberated over the pros and cons of fitting a civilian bonnet over a Perentie one.  I can replicate the look of one using used parts easy enough. But what I can’t replicate is the outer polyurethane coating nor the two pack under paint. It is beyond my resources.

I can obtain only the correct green in two pack but don’t have the resources to apply it. There is nothing that provides the abrasion resistance like the polyurethane outer coating. It’s just superb for the job.

So I keep my powder dry until a genuine straight one surfaces.

What I'm after for the dash is in the attached image. The knobs only for the Blackout Switch/The Knob for the Diff Lock/Dimmer Knob only as I have the rest from face plate back.

Above that is the three sided shroud that houses the Hour Meter/ Amp Meter that's also required. Gauges would be a bonus.

Good luck with your part hunting Stephen know how you feel.

Phil

This is the panel from 48-852 (from the Grays catalogue)  It will be surplus to need as I'm fitting the one from 49-353.

I don't know if you can remove the ammeter glass and repair the sticker thats peeling, but you could always place a sticker or a dot of paint on the outside of the glass.

Diana

BTW: the blackout switch knob is from a stove switch, you may be able to source one from someone like Lawrence & Hanson or your local appliance repair shop.

Straight 110 Perentie Bonnet with Tool Holders.

Front Seat Late ISRI TYPE – Yellow Backrest Adjuster on the right hand side when seated.  One only.

FFR Dashboard hour/Amp meter instrument Surround - All three panel sides. With or without instruments.

Divide your list into what you need for rego and what is restoration Corowa is always open to cars undergoing restoration and you never know you may well find what you are looking for there. It has a great swap meet during the week and after the parade  :D
Jerry Can Holder – Single 110 Perentie – Passengers side.

Love to get to Corowa this year but without these it’s not going to happen…  :(

As I don’t have a money tree in the back yard I sold my only transport to fund this rebuild trying to get it back on the road, its going to be my daily driver for work.

I’ve put all my eggs in one basket and now I’m stuck…

Been looking now for three months… >:(

Thanks Phil

Divide your list into what you need for rego and what is for restoration. A good 25% of cars and trucks at Corowa are still projects but drivable. There is a very large swap meet that goes for the week before and on the sat of the parade so you may well find the parts you are looking for

Thanks a Bunch Diana..

Ill grab it with both hands. Ill PM you directly.

I will take your tip on electrical wholesalers.

My research has found that the manufacturer of the blackout switch is Mercedes Benz.

Don't suppose you/anyone has a lower cast 12 Volt alternator bracket/mount?

Thanks Phil

Thanks Geoff wisdom in those words. I have a car on loan for the interim.  The big ticket items for achieving registration would be the bonnet and the passenger seat.  If I purchased civilian ones plus fright, and then purchase originals plus freight when found. Then try sell the civilian without a loss. The freight alone is a big hit twice. I could see it working if I was in Sydney or Melbourne.
I will see if I can make it with or without my 49-175. ( Maybe a Cinderella for 2015- Sic.)

Eeek

I just received a quote from my local LR repairer and parts supplier.

AYG 0427 (the bracket in the image above before it broke) from Land Rover $685.15 incl GST

The bracket for the 28V alternator idler/tensioner (without the pulley) AYG 464 $1,991.17

Looks like I'll be talking to KLR or a fabricator to make something up!

Wow   :o :o :o :o

Look Diana in appreciation of what you have done for me I’ll try and track down the owner of the FFR GS I bought my spare CAV off. . I I just needed the CAV pulley. I know it’s getting around with an idler pulley and CAV bracket still attached as he couldn’t be bothered to take them off. He was only interested in getting wide wheels and a fridge for the beach.

Can’t promise anything now so give me this week to try and track him down again here in Brisbane.

Cheers Phil

Hi Phil

It would be good if you could track that part down.

As for the 12V alternator, I have the OEM alternator bracket for the Nippondenso alternator, I'm just hoping I can find someone to swap the FFR bracket (would even throw in another standard engine mount bracket.

Hi Phil

Will look at the message when I get home late tonight.

I only need the adjuster and idler pully bracket for the 28V system and the 12V alternatior bracket for FFR.

I don't need the 28V CAV alternator mounting bracket as that is still on my engine.

I can supply the vendor a ?Nippondenso* alternator and engine mount bracket if the vendor wishes to remove the 28V mounting and return to the stronger 12V alternator bracket standard on Trucks, and Civvy Land Rover 4BD1.

Diana

* Apparently the bracket I have is for the 12V alternator that is different to the one in the Army 4BD1, I'm not 100% sure if that is NipponDenso or Hitachi.  Happy to swap the alternator for alternator if necessary.
