Wanted one Michelin tyre for a Perentie 4x4
« on: February 08, 2015, 09:46:20 PM »
I had a full set of Michelin 4x4 O/R 7.50/R16C XZL - 116/114N 10PR tyres but one split on a recent trip over heavy corrugations and gibbers. I can see lots for sale in Europe but none in Australia. I'd rather not have to change the whole set of near new tyres just for being a spare short.

Any ideas on where to source one?
Cheers,  Mike

I have a pretty well worn one, not a lot of life left in it. I was going to keep it as a spare for a future trailer. Located in Lalor Park, Sydney, $15 if you want it.

Thanks for the offer Mark, thats very kind of you. I'll try to track down a new one first and come back to you if I'm unsuccessful.

Thanks to you too FFRMAN. I'll try talking to a dealer but the Michelin Australia website turns up a blank when searching for the XZL and doesn't even offer any 7.50 tyre for a 110 although its on their list of Landrover models!
Cheers,  Mike

Michelin lists Jaxquickfit as their local dealer, but I have many times found the truck tyre services particularly the Michelin agents can access tyres not listed in the website.

The XZL were the OEM tyre for Defender back in the 1990s

I got brand new ones last year. Call Michelin - don't rely on the website. They are classed as a truck tyre and only certain dealers can get them in apparently. I told Michelin where I was and they gave me a list of dealers. They have thousands in stock, as you would expect if they are supplying the ADF. Cost me about $270 per tyre on memory.
