G'Day folks.

This afternoon I have tendered my resignation as public officer and committee member of REMLR to Richard, which he has accepted.
The main reason behind this was a shift in priorities in my life, meaning I am unable to commit to REMLR and give my position the attention and diligence it (and the REMLR community) deserves.
The timing of this is regrettable, as it has been in the pipeline for many months now. It does not in any way coincide with the move of the REMLR forums to our own space. My reasons for leaving are entirely my own. I'm sure the conspiracy theorists will still read into it, but it really is that simple.

I will provide a full handover of all instruments of the position to the committee c/o Richard over the next few days.
All registrations recieved to date have been processed and it will be up to the committee to determine who will continue with this responsibility. To those who have experienced a lengthy and unacceptable delay in having their registration processed - I give you my full and unreserved personal apologies. This has been a significant factor in my decision.
I have had the opportunity as REMLR's inaugrual Public Officer, to work with some dedicated and passionate people who seek to further the aims of our organisation for all the right reasons - and not to build their own personal empire or inflate their own sense of self worth. REMLR has made some positive steps in recent times and I give my full support to furthering this progress for the benefit of what is one of the greatest resources available anywhere on the internet.
Let us not forget what REMLR is; A registry of data, a knowledge base, and most important of all - a positive and supportive community of likeminded individuals. Leave the club politics to the clubs - share knowledge, share goodwill, check the egos at the door. We have simple aims and a specific core business.
I wish you all every success.
Yours in khaki,
Andrew Carnegie-Smith
