Sorry I had all my images wiped off Photo-pluck-it and will have to start all-over again… >:(

In time I’ll repost some images and tidy up the mess in other posts. ::)

Cheers Phil

If that first photo is anything to go by, I'd better go get some popcorn ready now  :D

Order a large bucket as it seems to be taking me forever…

As Hot Rover has said in his Garage thread there are some periods of time where there seems little to show for your efforts.  I’m watching that build with reverence.

Four days ago I inseminated the internal bulkhead, heater blower box, lower dash and the chassis with fish oil using a fish tank airline with pinholes and a garden spray pump. It’s still weeping out of the folded seams.

That insemination of the Bulkhead would have been interesting to watch.
I don't think.

 Thanks Pete

The engine internally is in good shape. I suspect it spent a long time in the elements without a bonnet. This is how I got it.

Mate you would have got a good laugh.

As when I wasn’t sure it the pressure was still high enough to jet spray I started to pull the hose out.

Then the jets of oil came out with the hose spraying everywhere! Instantly I tried to push it back in put it was too slippery to get a grip.

Got a face full of fish oil. Couldn’t work out why the trigger wouldn’t turn off, new sprayer, had a new push down push forward stay-on trigger…

To top it off later in the day my wife got home, got a peck on the lips, and then she pulled a face saying I should put on antiperspirant on such a hot day….   :-[

Here I’m trying to disulphate the batteries.  :-\They may have been flat for far too long but it’s worth a chance.  I’ll give them a month of trying. They cost far too much just to give up on them.  I’m having a crack at changing them from acid to alkaline electrolyte after flushing them out with bicarbonate of soda. I’ve had mixed results in the past.

Update Not a battery without a broken plate  :( Suppose that could have been expected as they are dated 2007  ;D Now I have $25.oo worth of lead... Although I managed to get two to hold 11 volts being sulphur free. Worth a try though.

Painted ready for new vent & windscreen rubbers.

Stripped the bonnet today to the last rivet.

Found surface rust under the primer due to bad preparation… So the frame will be sandblasted and acid tanked then I’ll have it galvanised for the long hall.

To the purest it may look provocative like a boxer with a new gold tooth with the bonnet up but it’s being done for the long run.

Found the genuine vent rubbers better fitment than the self adhesive seals.  More work towards fitting the dash. Waiting on some more parts now. Dash is refastened with 316 stainless steel.

Header pipe between manifold and first flange has been ceramic coated (wont rust) then wrapped. I am trying to find a supplier of stainless steel exhaust u bolt bracket.  Anyone know? Rang exhaust shops that fit stainless steel exhaust systems and none use stainless fittings only the tube stock is stainless…   ???

Found a supplier outside of Australia. Couldn't find a local vendor, shame. These are under $20.oo. ea in 310H Stainless Steel.
