a new soul with an adiction
« on: January 12, 2015, 03:03:06 PM »
Hi I am a new one to the Registry.
I have been a WW2 military  jeep person and still have a GPW as well as a MB and all the joy that comes with them. I also have picked up a ex Norforce  Toyota HJ47.
Recently I took delivery of a ex Norforce Region Surveillance land Rover Perentie. Seem to be making ex Norforce vehicles a bit of a habit.
So I thought I would join REMLR.
Looking forward to chatting with other collectors

:) welcome to the forum, Jeeps are great and the drivetrain noise of the Blitz is a favorite of mine. My first experiences, as a kid, with both vehicles (and LR), was on NSW sheep stations etc during the mid sixties. Another one was the Jeep Overlander traytop mum drove us in once or twice. And thinking of that I can remember a very overcast wet day when we heard 'a different noise'  struggling in the mud of the main road off in the distance (near Nyngan) and I was told later it was a Landcruiser.
