Ok, some information from John Bamford.  Firstly, there are 3 photos of a series of 12 shown on his website here http://www.bamford.com.au/vehicles/landy/  .  The remaining photos do detail the interior of the photograph.  Unfortunately for the time being these photos are inaccessable I am afraid.

From john directly about these vehicles

Quote
It was an official Army project for which I was Project Engineer at Army Design Establishment, but was done quite directly between me and the Army Survey Corps. Most of what was done was modification of a standard vehicle, and I think the work was probably done in the ADE workshops, and with no prototype stage. I don't think many were made, as I think they were mainly for getting around inland Australia. So they may be a quite rare version, and I don't know who made the others.

In one of the storage units/garages I have a group of about 12 pictures of the survey vehicle. I think these cover more detail, particularly inside the vehicle, than in the pictures on bamford.com.au.

So some more pieces to the puzzle there for you.

Hi phoenix  here some photos' to start the swb survey photos to start the page and information (all came from  President NSW Survey Association Richard Jackson-Hope OAM)

the vehicle's only carried stores plus theodolite's, barometers, electronic measuring equipment, batteries and pulled a trailer with fuel and stores on survey expeditions.
The vehicles were very basic & not very comfortable but they were a great work horse.
In the NT were had to convert one to front wheel drive only as the rear tail shaft snapped and it pulled a fully laden trailer for over 500 miles over rough bush tracks.
