Help with this Trailer

Hello everyone,

I have been wanting to get my hands on an army trailer to go with my 110 Perentie and have spotted this on the local auction site.

Can anyone give me some advise on it?
It says "Jeep Trailer" but is it just a No.5?
What stud pattern will it likely have?
Will it be tall enough to tow behind the Perentie? It looks a little low...
And what is it really worth? For the listed price I may as well import one from Australia.

It's a No.4

Still desirable but a No.5 would be better for the Perentie. A Haulmark would be better.

 no 4 has flat mudguards where as the bantam has oval

Fly over with an outboard and sail it back.

Buy it and get someone to deliver it to whoever you use to ship it.
Lots of No.5's for auction at Darwin at the moment.
Why Don't you ask Grays if they can help. What about Pack and Send?

I know of a Cooks Body Works trailer that was designed to go behind the Perentie.  Vendor wants $A2K (IIRC) for it.

I had seen a lot of No.5's at the Darwin auction, but wouldn't shipping from Darwin be much more expensive then Sydney? I'll have to look into that.

As soon as you mentioned budget, I realised you probably couldn't  afford to get a trailer over there anyway.
Budget be damned, just get one. No expense spared.
The Cooks trailer would well be worth the extra $500 or so.

How so? What do No.5's go for? ~$500 or so? Plus shipping and handling, I dunno just throwing a figure out there, another $500? Total a grand, even if shipping was a grand itself its still not up to the price of (that particular) Cooks.

Am I way off what shipping really costs? Please don't ruin my hopefulness of getting a trailer for my truck!

You are way off with your shipping costs.

You will be better off buying a local trailer. The NZ Army used a copy of the No5 trailer made by Walker Engineering in Hamilton. Virtually identical except for small details like the lunette shape and lighting. Used behind the Skippy 2As and the V8, you will see them from time to time on trade me. Perfect behind your Perentie.

Here's one, in Auckland, no less! (PS they were built by Walkers Engineering in Hamilton, not to be confused with the UK made Brockhouse).
