« on: June 21, 2012, 01:49:54 AM »
hi just join the fourm, was using the aulro under Burtonslandrover66. the workshop is all done after a five years of restoriaing it, took it to it first show a few week ago. will upload some pic of it form when we frist started it, will put more up soon.
Some of you helped us on the aulro fourm to find out about the WSLR here the info:
it a 1966
ARN: 114-113
Census: 6040G Welding Shop, Truck Mounted, 3/4 Ton, GS, ARC/ Shielded Gas
Engine No: 25249681H
Chassis No: 25316600C
Notes: 11/11/1991 returned by 3/14 CHU Sqn to 30077.
Disposed: 05.12.91
Interesting to note the differing census numbers. Maybe an inservice change of role?

Looking good!!!

The census number on the data plate is probably for the cab chassis, or unequipped version of the vehicle when it was new, then it would have been fitted out as the welding shop.

Excellent restoration :D

I notice that you have new bar treads. Are they 7.50 x 16 and if so, where did you source them from?

hi thanks, it was a lot of work to get it to look that good, will got the canvas of Astralia from the old forum we pay more for that then any think else on the land rover, we got the tyres from (www.northhantstyres.com/) but they cost a lot for money, and they are in the UK.

Time we got some canvas bits made up, maybe a group by, i have a chap who can do the work, I was thinking not as complicated as the original one, but following the same out line...
